The Outsider

Coverage of Late Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide is what everything is wrong with Indian media.
Renowned Indian news channels were pestering his family to comment on his death and they were using disgusting headlines. For what? for just mere TRP.

From leaking his body's picture to his psychiatrist revealing his personal information (if it's true) is such a low act to get 15 minutes of fame. And if it's not true then kudos to The Times of India to win the title of publishing the most unethical and deplorable article of the era.

To add the cherry on top, director Shamik Maulik together with Vijay Sekhar Gupta announced a film 'Suicide or Murder: A star was lost'.

Shamik quoted that they'll cover everything. From how an outsider survives in Bollywood, how they deal with the rejection from the gang of nepotism (monopoly of big stars and production houses). With this film, he wants to lead by Sushant Singh Rajput as one of the examples, and it's not a biopic but rather inspired by his life

Maybe I'm wrong, but from where I stand, it seems like it's inspired by his death. Within a week of his death, they hired actors, scripted the movie, and released its first poster. Or they were just trying to wait for the perfect opportunity (his death) to promote their movie. It's insensitive af.

We have completely forgotten how the dead should be respected.
People of the film industry now all of a sudden are sharing their stories, using his death as an opportunity to settle the score. ( I wish these people had come to media when they were facing the war against nepotism, then he would probably have been alive.)

We are at this stage where we are observing the worst phase of journalism, Bollywood, and humanity.

Being a Bihari and a Patnite his death feels like a personal loss. It's not only me, but every Bihari is also in the same phase right now. If his fans are still grieving, trying to bring a revolution against nepotism then think about his family (one of his sisters deactivated her social media account).

It's my humble request to all, please take a step back or try to at least step into their shoes before doing any insensitive thing.
