The one-bedroom apartment

One-bedroom apartment near the beach, with seaside facing window, lots of coconut tree, the laughter of children, and the sound of tides in the night. Sounds like a paradise. Isn't it?

Now, imagine you have to share it with a total stranger, and to add the cherry on top you're an introvert with social anxiety. A NIGHTMARE, right?

Well, it was the same in her case, she couldn't even imagine it in her wildest dreams. But, little did she know, that one-bedroom apartment will change her life forever.

Vanya luckily got such a beautiful apartment and that too at a cheap price. She was very excited and was eagerly waiting for her moving day. So, she can finally be alone, independent, and away from everyone including toxic relatives. She had already imagined for a thousand times what it was going to be like, and how she will decorate her new home. But the moment she stepped her foot in her new apartment, she hated it. WHY? Because her broker mixed up a few things and now she had to share it with a girl.

MONICA! Her personality was the exact opposite of Vanya. Happy to go lucky, cheerful, clumsy, and extrovert. Vanya hated talking and she couldn't even shut her mouth for two minutes.
Monica was a morning person and Vanya was a night owl. Monica was a religious person and Vanya was an atheist. The scent of Monica's incense stick acted like Vanya's alarm.

Now at this moment, one can imagine the relationship that was between them.

One fine morning when Vanya woke up after the previous night's fight. She saw that the incense stick was not lit nor there was any sign of Monica. She was missing as if she had disappeared into thin air.

Vanya did not pay attention at first but after some time she started panicking with each passing second. she called Monica's friends and relatives,  but nobody knew where she was. She filed an FIR but even cops were not able to find her. She couldn't sleep or eat, the thought of Monica being in a danger haunted her like a ghost. So, she decided to take control of the situation. She started investigating on her own.

She questioned the security guard, neighbors, and replayed every conversation they ever had. But there was no conclusion. Suddenly her phone rang, she picked it up, it was from a local police station. She couldn't believe what she heard. They asked her to collect Monica's belongings, they found Monica's dead body. When she got there, in her belongings there was a card with her name and a message on top, " I'm sorry for last night. I'll make your favorite dinner today.



MORAL- Appreciate and love people when they are alive, not when they are about to die because we don't know when that day will come.
